Cloak & Petal is one of those places that is more about the ambiance than the food. The interior is so uniquely decorated, with sprinkles of music, anime, and the most gorgeous tree in the middle of the bar area. The rolls were good, but very heavy on the sauces and nothing that really stood out to me. Overall, a good experience, but you are definitely paying for it!

Had a friend visiting in town and we decided to check out some spots in Little Italy. We came into Cloak and Petal during happy hour and sat at the bar. It's a cool spot wand we loved the vibe. The bartenders were very attentive and helpful and our drinks were delicious! We had the Red Sun and the Geena the Latina Margarita. Definitely recommend them both!

Fun, vibrant atmosphere...pretty hip spot! Parking on a weeknight was decent and what you'd expect for Little Italy. The server was friendly and our food came out in a timely manner. We each enjoyed a couple rolls of sushi and they were very delicious and flavorful! A little on the pricey side but it's what you would expect for a higher end sushi spot in Little Italy. Definitely want to go back and will update my review with photos! I completely forgot to snap some:)

Place has the vibes you want for a happy hour! Good music, great deals and superb food! Visiting SD for the weekend, but I'd most certainly give Cloak &Petal another visit if I returned to SD. Love their soy sauce dishes as well. They angle, so your soy pools but you won't drop your sushi!
